thanks; that was very mean and underhanded of the person
My husband does interviews for Princeton. He is adamant that not getting an interview only means they didn’t have enough alumni sign up to do them and that not getting one will not negatively affect your admission odds. Hope that helps!
Thank you
Did the mid-year report show up for anyone on the checklist? For me it has never been listed at all.

Many Princeton University applications and services are unavailable. At this time, it may not be possible to use the single-sign-on service to sign-in to applications. Campus WiFi via the eduroam network and Research Computing systems are also affected.
question: if students from my school historically have never been accepted to pton, and this year someone was accepted early, what are the chances they’ll accept another one rd?
There are so many variables, I think this would be impossible to predict. Odds-making is all about matching previously-observed patterns, and the scenario you describe would be a really difficult one to map to “similar” situations. With RD at Princeton admitting somewhere between 2% and 3% of applicants, any individual applicant’s chances are going to be “very unlikely”, regardless of their stats, school profile, ECs, or any other factor.
Does anyone know what is the chance of admission in RD if deferred EA?
same question. heard they used to defer a lot but became less generous with them this year
A somewhat recent phenomenon, but definitely not “this year.”
@AW_OcO its hard to assess chances, but not a unicorn. Deferred applicants most definitely get in. Someone deferred is competitive by objective measures and it comes down to the “shaping” of the class.
