Decisions are so close!
Potential legacy applicants aren’t given/mailed/emailed anything particular. For many colleges, the parents get a letter though! It tries to inform them of the changed admissions landscape from their generation and to not underestimate the difficulty of any single applicant’s chances. It’s PR work to keep alumni sated, protect donation levels and hopefully keep them less angry because the kiddo applied but was rejected.

@oplurobha Are you guys on a semester or quarter system. If semester, did you counselor send in your quarter (progress) grade?
@Bxmpsy no it doesnt mean that no one knows why they want the grades and they might want it for different reason from people. My sister goes to another ivy leauge school and they never asked for more grades and she got accepted but they asked other people for them so we dont really know what they mean
