Princeton Class or 2021 EA / RD Application thread

Welp, tonight, after my Harvard interview (why did I submit so early…) I have to write an entire four page English paper and study for a philosophy exam. Go me!

@gmanhax Hahaha sounds like a busy day! On the bright side, it’ll keep your mind off tomorrow…Best of luck!

What is everyone’s favorite thing about pton? As in what is one of the most attractive aspects to you?

I’m secretly hoping I don’t have to start writing supplements from tomorrow…

I have around 8 more RD apps which i haven’t started.
RIP

@woohoo17 It would probably be the people. Everyone that I’ve met so far is truly amazing. Princeton has this environment that’s competitive in a fun way but everyone also is open to collaborate because everyone is suffering the same pressures of being at a top institution. The solidarity, spirit, and personality of the university is amazing. The campus is socially aware, critical, and active. Honestly, the people at Princeton really make the school what it is.

Though I wasn’t too happy when it was happening, I’m very happy my parents pressured me to finish all my apps before December

@MissAnthropy how many colleges are you applying to?

In the words of Kanye… 30 hours

BTW what other colleges you guys? Harvard, MIT, Stanford (mega reaches), Columbia Duke, Cornell, (reach-fits), Reed and Colby (safeties) for me.

@currypotato Stanford, upenn, Cornell, CMU, USC, BU, Rutgers, UMass Amherst, MIT, Columbia/Yale, Duke, UNC Chapel hill

@currypotato If I don’t get in tomorrow, Harvard, Columbia, maybe Cornell, Chicago, Georgetown, NYU, Northeastern, Northwestern, BU, BC, CU Boulder (just in case everyone else decides they hate me lol)

I only applied to 5 because I have a pretty decent shot at the two I’m really interested in  I know Princeton is an absurd shot haha @Yo

I’m going for Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Bowdoin, Hamilton, Colby, Vassar, and some more if I don’t get in

@currypotato UChicago, Amherst, UC Berkeley, Columbia, NYU, Cornell, Stanford, Toronto - then maybe Georgetown, Williams, Wisconsin

Besides Princeton? Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Uchicago, Stanford, Georgetown, Uni of St Andrews, University of Richmond, William & Mary, UVA

@danielsjang  I’m really in love with Woody Woo… And the architecture

I checked the Stanford thread earlier. Is it just me or are they much more lenient with the SATs? I saw quite a few 1400s with acceptances and not to be judgmental but I thought there would be more 1600s and 36s…

@currypotato If you’re looking for perfect scores, check out the Harvard thread. Stanford tends to place less importance on numbers, especially in the early round.

Stanford may function with different protocols where their recruited athletes are concerned as well (early admits). Ivy recruits must fall within the academic index. Overall, Stanford is the most selective university at 4.8% so if they are not admitting top scores, there must be other factors that account for admission to those students.
