There are certain things in life that we can control and others that we cannot. To obsess over things out of our control is a huge expenditure of time and emotional energy that could have been more profitably expended elsewhere, including just hanging out with friends and enjoying your HS senior year, the only one you will ever have in your lives. If you were deferred EA, you were not rejected, so you still have a shot. Your shot at any of the highly selective schools were low to begin with, and I would take the admissions offices at their word that your application is still in play and that the quality of EA applications is generally higher than RD and full of hooks, especially athletic recruits. Also if you were deferred at any of the highly selective schools, you are probably a great candidate and will get in somewhere that will allow you to succeed in life as long as you applied to a rational mix of reaches, matches and safeties. Good luck everyone.
@BKSquared What an excellent post, showing great maturity and wisdom.
Yep. That’s how I feel about it all @BKSquared . That being said, excited I just finished my interview over the phone. Really enjoyable. I feel like I have done everything I can do now. So it’s with hope and and a dose of reality that I await decisions. Good luck all!
Hey!! does anyone know if Princeton has any accepted students days, and if so, when they will be for the class of 2021?
@nikuedu dates not set yet, but Princeton Preview is two weekends in April. Here was last year’s schedule: http://www.princeton.edu/hosting/schedule/
April 21-22 and April 27-28.
I think I have a problem guys… now that I have no interviews to think about or applications to write I just watch acceptance videos on YouTube. Intervention anyone? Haha
@DryMango I do the same thing! In fact, I was just talking about this with my sister
Hey, at leadt you’re done with interviews.lol! Just finished princeton! Over phone.
Least.
@snicks1234 congrats!
Help, I just found out I was supposed to submit tax documents by the 1st of February! I did not realise I had to send them at all/assumed I would get an email directing me to where I had to upload them. I sent the actual PFAA on time but have not sent any supporting documents. As soon as my parents are home I’m going to get them to give them to me so I can submit. Is the fact that its 3 weeks late likely to affect the admissions decision?
I’m so glad you brought this up! I didn’t even know it was required because Princeton doesn’t use IDOC. It should not affect your admissions decision, but your financial aid package might be a little late if you are accepted.
Feedback requested - S had P interview yesterday, and the interviewer suggested he reach out directly to the music department to share a new composition. He already provided a music supplement with his application, however, the interviewer suggest direct contact may help with being “recruited” for music similar to athletes. Good or bad idea???
@US applicants: Has anyone not been contacted yet for interviews even though you know your area has alumni interviewers? (friends from my school who applied early had interviews, but I still haven’t gotten one… )
@Haaland I believe there can be some support of an application by departments but I am unsure if it works the same way as the scenario of a recruited athlete and coach. I would suggest there is no downside to reaching out to the music department directly.
@ammielove Princeton doesn’t have a financial aid status portal right? How did you see what you have left to submit?

@lemon415 I responded to your question on another thread last evening. Please try to keep the line of questions to one thread as all of those who respond regularly read all the threads and it creates a jumbled mess for anyone trying to track answers to questions.
@studioghibli I think it depends on the classes you took. If you take harder classes maybe it’s understandable? I mean my grades dropped every year because I keep taking more aps and post aps every year. So maybe they will understand your drop in grades? Of course, I’m not completely sure about admissions. But best of luck! lmao. I’m also a princeton hopeful.
