Heya Fam- does pton send out likely letters? If so, do you know when-ish?
IIRC @MCurie they don’t.
Okay cool- I hadn’t heard of them doing it, but good to get some confirmation- thanks! @VenomBuds
@a20171 @greenstudent I found this write up quite useful for interviews…from a currnet student at Brown…

Just had my interview yesterday. It was great! The guy was an engineer and a graduate of the class of 1961. It went for about an hour and 20 minutes and was a casual conversation about why I want to go to Princeton, what I do (extracurriculars) in high school, why that’s important, and what interests me academically and why.
Sigh…still haven’t received an interview email. Guess I’m not going to get one at this point
@Sumbodyyyy I know two Princeton interviewers and they said their reports need to be in to Princeton no later than Feb 26 so it is still possible that you may receive an offer to interview. However if you don’t, there is no need to be concerned as the absence of an interview is not significant in any way and will not be held against you.
Not sure if this is too late. But can we still upload optional documents on the applicant portal? I have just received a confirmation for this internship that I did earlier in the year.
yes you can by going to the applicant portal page on princeton website
@Cantiger You were 100% correct! I just got an interview request. Thanks for the support
Had my Princeton interview. Lasted 50 min and we had a really nice conversation.
Interview on the 16th by phone.

maybe this is in here somewhere but this thread is just too dang long to comb through… Does anyone know what date RD decisions tend to come out? and will they come via portal, email, mail…?
@bluenette23 All ivy league decisions come out on March 30. And they will come out on the portal, but will probably email you saying a decision has been made.
Yes, but all decisions come out at 5 pm EST on March 30.
@Cantiger Perhaps this depends on location? I have a phone interview scheduled for February 28 (a date proposed by the interviewer), so maybe different regions have different deadlines.
<<if an="" scea="" app="" didn’t="" get="" in="" with="" the="" 15%="" admit="" rate,="" how="" well="" will="" they="" do="" rate="" 50%="" of="" scea?="">>
I would say the rates are comparable—the huge number of hooks in SCEA inflates that rate and makes it seem easier than it actually is. AOs at SCEA schools often stress that it is not actually easier to get in during the Early round (without actually explaining why, typically!). But I totally agree with your broader point—if they didn’t take you SCEA, why would they take you in RD.
That is why @gibby started the omg i got deferred thread. A deferred applicant has no chance RD. Even if he/she was deferred to compare to the RD pool, there are 30,000 more applicants to compare to. Chances are, they’ll all be equally qualified to get accepted.
“A deferred applicant has no chance RD.” I wouldn’t put it like that — sure the chance might be slimmer than a regular RD applicant, but they still have a chance nonetheless. And the bar is usually set higher for SCEA than RD.
