Princeton ECs

I’m a Brit applying to the USA.
I know that different schools have vaguely different admissions profiles. I just wondered what level of extras Princeton typically requires/expects. I’ve copied and pasted mine below and would love feedback as I’m not sure what the typical Princeton student’s level of ECs are, and whether I’d be above/average/below. I’ve heard stories of Olympians etc.!:

Extra curriculars:
-I work the BBC on political documentaries, including having filmed one about me/my work
-I’m a co-founder and director of a successful non-profit in my hometown. Dealing with youth unemployment, we’ve funded it and developed partnerships with organisations such as Barclays Bank.
-I’m the Chairman of Young Conservatives (David Cameron’s party!) in my county (population 800,000- in the USA this might be a district)
-I’m a political staffer to a senior local politician
-I do lots of community leadership like sitting on planning policy committees
-I used to be my town’s Member of the National Youth Parliament
-I’ve been in a final of a national History competition
-Chairman of student government for my school
-Head Boy (class president) with a focus on Charity

(I’ve posted my overall profile in the Harvard board)

Thanks, any comment much appreciated!

Automatically rejected because you used your full name on College Confidential.
Bud, what are you thinking? Why would you use your full name on any internet forum? You should know that you cannot delete a CC post, so this posting will follow you for the rest of your life. This might be pretty wholesome now, but I wouldn’t make a habit of using your name on any public internet forum; big mistake.

It seems as if you are gearing up for a political career–this will haunt you. Anything you post on the internet, can be used to hurt you down the line.

herewegonow, you need to stop… you could have PMed him and not addressed your concern in such an unnecessarily harsh and public manner. And besides, I don’t see party photos or the like here, but a valid question.

Anyway, Nick, Princeton doesn’t look for/rank particular ECs; it’s not so much about what your ECs are, but what they mean to you and how you convey them in your application.

Compared to the scandals most politicians bring (Cameron sold weed at his school) I’m not sure listing my ECs at the age of 17 will be particularly harmful to any political career.

Point taken though.

Thanks for that Kali; it’s just been explained to me that unless you have some hook of an EC, then you probably aren’t going to be one of the 8% of whatever that they select.

Nick - Your ECs look great. Carry on.

Admissions is subjective once you get pass the test scores, grades, etc. but you, sir, have a higher than average shot at an acceptance. The competition is tough as an international but your extracurriculars look solid.
