we have a “alcohol lovers society” stupid crap

yeah, no Model UN here either. I’m looking to do it (or IRC–International Relations Council) in college, along with mock trial and maybe debate. It’ll be fun! Law preparation, and all.

Sorry I’m late, but throw my name on the roster. (1600, 1/220)

67!!!

that’s craaaazy. i wonder how many of us will report. we have to come up with a formal reporting method for dec. 15/13/14 ( i know out of order…) so that it doesn’t get crazy

I’d rather let things just happen

I don’t know if I want to report anymore…

I’ll still report, I think…I’d like to know who is in the Princeton “CC” class.

And remember, if we don’t get in, our options are still very good…not Princeton, granted, but when you’ve got a transcript that is competitive at Princeton, you can get into a lot of great schools. I’d be really excited to go to Yale, UVa, Williams, Amherst, et al. Really, all of you are so talented that you’ll do extremely well wherever you end up.

We could have an “ED Decision Lounge” and then post another thread where we just report results…I hope people report back.

that sounds good…i think i’m getting nervous just thinking of it though

Haha, me too… and so many people know I’m applying…my entire school knows (since I’m the first), all of my parents’ friends/co-workers know (my mom made sure of that), all the extended family (and there’s a lot of it)…yikes. I better get in. Gulp

yeah…same…it’s kind of sad, they say stuff like,

“it wouldn’t be TOO bad if you ended up at brown”

i’m like…_

just dont be the first poster…the first poster gets bombarded by questions from ppl who go retrieve everything that poster ever posted and the locations he/she has ever slept

um…arent you the ONLY person in your school kebree?

For me, everyone keeps saying:
“Oh, you’re so smart…I just know you’ll get in.” I smile and nod
“You’ll have no trouble…I’m waiting to hear about that letter!” I gulp
“Why not Harvard?” I start on the Princeton viewbook schpiel
“Are you going to send us copies of that letter?” Me: “uh, well, only a few get in, really…”
“When do you hear back? I’ve told all my friends about you.” my stomach churns

…Ugh. Pressure is on. And then a bunch of finals, too…but everyone here is in the same boat.

EDIT: Valdez–

This year I am technically “homeschooled,” but I’m a full-time student at U of K. I went to a really small HS the other years (up until senior year, that is). I’m doing this so I can graduate early and spend the 2nd semester in Europe. But my old hs was the one who sent transcripts/forms/teacher recs/etc., so they all know.

ah, i see

when ppl ask me where i have applied and i say “princeton”, there is a long pause and the conversation gets awkward. so i have stopped saying that and now merely say “I have applied to several top tier schools”. they prod; i dodge. conversations become more interesting that way.

I just usually say, “Oh, up North somewhere…” in a dismissive voice…people don’t usually press further.
