I have been accepted by Princeton, Upenn (Wharton), Columbia, PennState Braddock Scholar, UVA and SUNY Stony Brook BA/MD Program.

I have a strong interest in being a medical doctor and currently have an on-going cancer research. I am pretty much narrowing down my choices to Princeton or Stony Brook BA/MD (which is 8 years BA/MD, gives me a merit scholarship for out of state full tuition, fee, room and board vs. Only $5000 loan from Princeton).

My goal is to get into first tier research medical schools after undergraduate. I understand that competition for these first tier medical schools is fierce even for Ivy graduates. I just want to know:

As an average or upper middle Princeton graduate, what is the prospect for him or her to get into first tier medical schools, for example Yale, Upenn, Columbia, Cornell or even NYU medical schools? Any released data or statistics on outcomes for Princeton graduates who applied medical schools?

Medical School admissions pay a lot of attention to undergraduate GPA. I come from a science high school in Virginia (TJHSST) with high SAT and SAT IIs, but Princeton is a liberal arts school, so will I continue to fare well at Princeton?

Does the Princeton name really look good in the eyes of medical school admissions officers?

My family will support me to Princeton. However, if chances are not much better at Priceton, then a $160,000 (after tax) saving is still a lot for an upper middle class American family. (I saw data from Stony Brook Medical School; quite a few Princeton, Yale, and Columbia graduates have ended up there, and Stony is considered on top of second tier medical schools).

This is a really tough decision which I have to make in 2-3 weeks. I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me some objective insight to help me make this decision. Thanks.
