So, after Princeton Preview ended (It was great BTW), I was instructed to catch a train to the airport, well the train got delayed and I ended up missing the flight. From there I was placed on standby, but the two flights later in the day were oversold, so I was going to have to stay the night in the airport. I had talked to Christopher Burkmar (Associate Dean of Admission) earlier and, to my utter surprise, he told me that he didnt want me sleeping in the airport and then booked me a room in the Marriot, on Princetons expense. The thing about it was:
- I didnt even ask, hint at, or request this in any way.
- I had not committed to the school.
- Im not a full-paying student.
To me, this was truly an amazing gesture; it makes me very very honored to be attending Princeton University this fall. Princeton is one classy place!
