If my dad got his phd at Princeton, how much do you think it would help? He doesn’t teach there now and we don’t really donate large amounts of money
And in general, do undergrad, grad, or post-graduate legacies get the most advantage?
@theonthe Undergrad alumna gets the most advantage for legacies, particularly if they are donors. Also, you’d have to already be “good enough” (test scores, GPA, etc etc) to be in the possibles" pile to begin with for legacy status to have any weight.
@JenJenJenJen - Only the girls?
Alumnus is used to refer to a male graduate or former student.
Alumni is the plural of alumnus but can also be used to refer to a group of men and woman graduates/former students.
Alumna is used to refer to a woman graduate or former student.
Alumnae is the plural of alumna.
I’m sure @JenJenJenJen meant to include males too
I did, yes, apologies!
On a similar note, do siblings count as legacies?
“other familial relationships, such as that of University grandparents and siblings, are also noted but not added to the statistics in the Princeton Profiles.”
