Princeton officially increasing enrollment, beginning with the Class of '09!

<p>Best of luck, everyone…nearly there now. It’s been nice knowing you as applicants, and I hope I know you next week as acceptees (fellow acceptees, of course ;)). And since Princeton’s increasing class size (<a href=“http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S11/10/04C71/index.xml?section=topstories[/url]”>http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S11/10/04C71/index.xml?section=topstories&lt;/a&gt;), we stand an increased chance.</p>

<p>Not much, but every bit helps. I’m not complaining…it was a surprise that they increased at all.</p>

<p>2,700 more applications for 28 extra spots. That’s about 10%…right on track. haha</p>

<p>that’s around 1.2% not 10%</p>

<p>in order for this to be equal, they’d have to inc their class size by 20% too… and i don’t think they wil ever do that. :(</p>

<p>but since they don’t have 100% yeild during Rd. I think they’ll accept around 55 more for the 28 spots… :slight_smile: which is not bad.</p>

<p>Ya, I’m applying for class of '10 (that looks awkward doesn’t it, '10?) and theyre expanding even more, supposedly. I’m sure not by much but… still… exciting!</p>

<p>lol, i have to admit i was more depressed by the 20% increase. should have applied ed but i was too scared of binding <em>hangs head in shame</em></p>

both the acceptance letter and the fa letter were dated march 24.</p>
