First off, I am only on the waitlist at Princeton, but I just want to start thinking of how I will make my decision rationally if I am lucky enough to make a phone call.

Thanks for any input!

I’d strongly recommend waiting it out before you start thinking about it. But, when the time comes, it will boil down to student body (where do you fit?), cost, location, and other such factors.

But for now, I’d plan on going to McGill and loving it there. No sense wondering about things which might never happen.

Definitely Princeton! No one would choose McGill over Princeton, other than for non-academic reasons (cost of living, weather, etc.).

I would agree with the above posts. Be excited about McGill, but in the rare chance that Princeton decides to offer you admission, strongly consider accepting their offer (that is, if you don’t think the fit at McGill is much better for you). I would imagine that your chances of getting into med school from Princeton will be excellent, and if you decide to change majors, you will still be in a top school.

So lets say i got into tcnj and Princeton. Now Princeton obviously has the better prestige, but something is telling me to go to tcnj since their tuition is lower for instaters, it’s located at a pretty laid-back town, and I think people would be more friendly there due to the competition in Ivy League schools. My heart is telling me to go to TCNJ, should I?

Again – don’t worry about any of this until admissions are gained. Otherwise you’ll just stress yourselves out for no reason.

Isn’t it getting a little bit late in the season for wait list calls? Not to be sadistic or anything, but I’d plan on going to McGill, and if Princeton calls, they do, but I wouldn’t expect a call.

I was dying to go to McGill, and had a hard decision between McGill and Cornell. I chose Cornell because it was cheaper. Wait and see, because even if you do get in, there’s still FA and scholarships to consider.
