Princeton Review 11 Test Writing Section

Practice Test 5, Section 6, #11.
Fear prevents some people from speaking out against wrongdoings; ignorance, others; a lax morality, only a few.
a) same
b) ignorance keeping others
c) ignorance is another reason
d) for others, it is ignorance
e) what prevents others from it is ignorance

What is the answer and why?

I am not sure but why don’t you look in the answer explanations

the answer is A. Because it parallels with “lax morality, only a few” I already took that same test, and I got that one right.

^ Exactly!
I took this test last week. Substituting any other choice would break the parallelism. It’s a weird question though, I wasn’t sure at first.
