Princeton Review Counselor-O-Matic?

How accurate is this thing?

I have a 2.5-2.6 GPA and everything else is completely stellar, so it keeps suggesting Cornell, UPenn etc. to me as good match schools. No school like that will accept me!

My safeties are Syracuse and Ithaca on there. In real life, those are my reaches.

How do they calculate this?

In my experience, the counselor-o-matic should be used only as one reference to suggest schools in your areas of interest - geographic, academic, etc. I have not found it to be particularly accurate in categorizing reach, match and safety.

It says I have no reach, which is rather absurd. As it has been stated before, it really is quite meaningless, though it might give you nice ideas.

Use it just for fun and chuckles. The Counselor-O-Matic has absolutely no accuracy whatsoever in predicting "reach/match/safety" schools for anyone.
