<p>I asked this question some years ago when Earlham first disappeared from Princeton Review. I can’t remember the details, but colleges have to send information to Princeton Review, and I think they also have to allow PR to survey students. Earlham has declined to participate in this, so they are no longer included in the guide. The guide is not actually the top colleges, it’s the top colleges who choose to participate in the Princeton surveys.</p>
