Princeton SCEA Class of 2020 Applicant Thread

Aww @SlayerWard thank you so so much!!! That means a lot to me  Best the luck to you as well!!

And best wishes to everyone also!! Y’all are so fantastic ~:>

I’m a lurker on this thread and I’ve only posted once but today is the day my comrades. It’s the day that can change our lives entirely. Acceptance means opportunity and deferral means opportunities at other great institutions and maybe even Princeton in the Regular Decision Round. The fact of the matter is we’re all qualified and no matter where we go we will make an impact on the world. I’m looking at future leaders, scientists, doctors, lawyers, and just people who follow their passions. I wish you all the best of luck. God willing, all those who deserve to go will get in. My peace and prayers go out to all of you. Much love to you all

Good luck everyone  we will all love wherever we end up going, so let’s sit back, relax and enjoy the ride that is senior year!

I’m not even applying to Princeton but I decided to read this thread just to see what it was like and it got me hooked, you’re all so genuinely nice

another parent here, thanks for welcoming us and being so kind to everyone! Good luck! ~:>

It’s so surreal that today is the day! Hard to believe that here we all are, waiting for a chance at Princeton! No matter what happens we will all go on in life to do amazing things. Good ©luck! ~:>

Good luck to ALL.

Emails are arriving in overseas students mailboxes. Always nice to read message starting, “Congratulations!”

wearing my chicken socks in honor of the scea fam. good cluck to yall, one final time ~:>
PSA::: Always remember that u rock okay

@sadovaya - how do you know this? Did you get in???

As for those admissions stats, they really don’t say much. You need to know a lot more information. You could theoretically have a 40% acceptance rate and be more selective than a college with a 10% one. And it is always the non-quantitative factors that are determining.

I’m going to need these

OMG. DS just got home from his exam and received a call from an unidentified number in NJ. He has been trying to put on a cool front but he knows today is a big day. So he answers the NJ call and the message begins with, “Congratulations!..”

and then goes on to tell him he won a free cruise. OMG. REALLY?? Of all days…

@grandscheme - was it P???

NO! Nearly had a heart attack, though. Ugh.

Anyone happen to know when The Princetonian usually publishes the university’s EA stats on D-Day?
Before, at same time, or after decision release time?

Here’s last year’s post of what I was hoping to see for this year already up:

Anybody knows what time the SCEA results will come out today for domestic applicants? And what’s the quickest way to find out? I know this sounds impatient.

@grandscheme - Ah, I didn’t see your 2nd post!! (sorry) - I’m sure you did have a heart attack; I almost had a heart attack reading your posts.
