My DS was also accepted and received no FA email and no request to the GC for first quarter grades or anything else. Heard absolutely nothing (except the emails saying that the application had been received) between submission and acceptance.
@fretfulmother I didn’t get the confirmation email, either, but I was accepted.
As predicted, son totally forgot about Pton decision release today… Hahahaha! Seriously. But apparently he did check state flagship & another public U portal since he walked in the door complaining that he still has no decision from them & has been checking daily. Omg… Lol. Let’s see how this goes

and I second those who say it’s ridiculous to defer 85% of the applicants… Princeton join Stanford and only defer 10-20%

I was accepted!!! If anybody cares, I got a confirmation for financial docs (which I sent on the 15th super late, so I was really relieved when they answered!) but nothing other than that.
CC ‘jail’ as she called it is a potential reason as well as the fact that if accepted, it would completely make sense to celebrate with family & friends IRL first & excusable to forget about the digital world for a while.
