<p>If you went on summer vacations, should you write about that? I heard somewhere that it’s best to hide these things b/c some adcoms might get “jealous” or something. Is that true?</p>

<p>I think it really depends - if you went to the beach for a week, I wouldn’t include it. But if you spent a month travelling through Europe, or did something else that you think would be a plus on your application, why not include it. </p>
<p>I wouldn’t worry about the admissions officers getting jealous, but unless you can say that your experience was meaningful in some regard, all that you’ll be telling them is that your parents have enough money to afford that level of vacation.</p>
