Princeton University 2024 RD

Decisions come out the 26th, 4 PDT (West Coast).

Hey guys! It’s so quiet over here. Nobody is saying much. It seems there were a lot of likely letters released by Cornell this year. Is that the same for Princeton?

I wish everyone happiness and an abundance of joy and blessings tomorrow.

Princeton doesn’t release likely letters for non-athletes, I believe.

Are guys who will be accepted to Princeton get promotional emails or something from any offices at Princeton before the decision date? Have you ever heard of someone who was accepted and got these emails before the decision date or maybe about someone who never heard something but still got accepted? let me know, please! I am so worried! I didn’t get any such email.

I have started a thread for Ivy Day decisions (no stats)…

If anyone is super anxious, I suggest looking over your application and seeing how good it is! You took your best shot and everything will work out and you will end up where you are supposed to be : )

Anyone here applied to Electrical Engineering? In my supplements, I accidentally referred EE to Computer Engineering because I thought they had CE as a major. Am I scared about the mistake? Yes. But I can’t really do anything about it anymore.

Computer Engineering can be considered a subfield in Electrical Engineering.
If it fits into the context of what you have written, no harm is done.
In any case, good luck to you. I don’t think your whole application would be decided and hinged on one typo. Hope everything will all work out.

I got accepted into Princeton for the early action. I wish everyone else good luck today!!! If anyone is interested, here’s my stats:
Woodrow Wilson School major
4.0 UW GPA (School doesn’t do weighted)
1510 SAT
740 Math II SAT
750 US History SAT
A 4 and 5 on the AP tests. Two 6s on IB tests.
Theater and Varsity Cross Country for 4 years.
IB Diploma Candidate
ASB President of my school
Other extracurriculars focused on politics
I’ve been told that I’m a fairly good writer so I’m assuming my essays were pretty good.
Recs from my math and history teachers, my IB coordinator, counselor, and Theater director.
I go to a very low-income school.
Hispanic
Put a lot of work into my school extracurriculars. I did state conventions but nothing too big.
HSF scholar
I hope this helps some of you and I can’t wait to see who will be at Princeton with me next fall

Accepted… honestly shocked…

Rejected. I’m devastated

Rejected

Rejected and I truly gave it my all.
TIme to burn my sweatshirt and banner and multiple books I have lol.
But in all seriousness congrats to everyone accepted. Wish it could have gone differently

rejected too!

Rejected from OH
34 ACT, 4.0 uw
I have some other good options so I’m trying not to be too upset! Also, no one from my school (top 3 in state) has ever gotten in so I’m not surprised.

Rejected. I was hopeful because my extracurriculars are really good, and my test scores and GPA are on the lower end of their average, but still alright. I thought my essays would for sure sell it for me, but I guess not. But its ok! Life goes on, and we will all be where we are meant to be in due time. Princeton just wasn’t the place for me, and soon enough I’ll understand why. It’s alright everyone. And congratulations to all those who were admitted! I hope you enjoy your journey.

Rejected here and at Yale. Somehow got waitlisted at Harvard though lol.
