Also, where would I put the IB diploma on my Common App? So far I just put it in the add. info.
Submitted my app yesterday. Very excited about the interview (which is probably likely because I live in the Bay Area)!
Have you already sent your scores to them berk? The reason I ask is my daughter submitted application, then she realized she hadnât sent her scores ( which took another week).
Yes, luckily I sent scores from ACT at the beginning of the month. Just waiting for the portal to confirm they were received.
@Berk708 Good luck to you. Did they send you an application for Financial aid? Good luck for your interview.
S25 hasnât submitted yet, but is planning to submit by Thursday.
Iâm conflicted if I should fill that out because the NPC says I donât qualify for any aid from Princeton. My parents are thinking about loans or paying out of pocket but will decide once decisions come out.
Also, one of my teachers has not submitted their letter of rec. On the portal, it indicates that this is missing. However, it does not show anything about my optional letter of rec (which also hasnât been submitted). Will they still get the optional one when it is submitted via Common App?
Re: Financial aid- We didnât qualify for much aid (for D23) according to FAFSA, but we filled out Princeton FA application and they gave us a generous grant, as they take a lot of other factors into account. Expenses, family situation etcâŠ
Re: Optional rec - I donât believe optional rec is listed on the portal. If I remember correctly, only the required ones were listed as received or missing.
@berk708 Did your scores get updated on the portal? S25 set up his portal today and it shows his SAT scores are still in âawaitingâ status, although the official scores were sent a few weeks agoâŠ
When I logged into my portal for the first time, the scores were âreceivedâ with the green check. I sent them at the beginning of Oct. The only thing that was âawaitingâ was one letter of rec which changed to received the day after it was submitted. Hope it changes for you soon!
Also, my portal does not distinguish if they are ACT or SAT scores. Is that how itâs supposed to be?
Ok, thank you. You mentioned
Just waiting for the portal to confirm they were received.
so I assumed yours said âawaitingâ as well. Weâll give it a couple of days. And yes, it just says SAT/ACT scoresâŠ
Ahh, I see where the misunderstanding was; I was waiting for my portal login to be sent.
Thank you! Good luck to you.
@Berk708 did you get an email for an interview yet? Princeton is usually pretty quick in scheduling interviews⊠We didnât receive one yet.
Has anyone tried contacting their regional admissions rep via email? If so, what is the turnaround time for a response?
Yes my interviewer emailed me last night, around 2 hours after the email from the admissions office.
Donât worry if you havenât heard yet. Itâs all organized by volunteers and the specific timing of it will just depend on when you get assigned to someone, when that person accepts the assignment and so forth. Thereâs nothing to read between the lines there.
Princeton is really good about offering interviews to pretty much everyone who requests one.
Any news on your testing or interviews? If you go to the undergrad admissions website they say they had some issues processing documents.
Also, does anyone have any college interview tips?
Testing is marked as received after we called them. No interview yet. Theyâre usually pretty quick but we havenât received one yet.
A quick question: on common app, applicants are asked to list ap test they have taken or plan to take. If I list 5 ap tests I plan to take but eventually, I take 3 next year. Should I contact Princeton to update them after I register 3 ap tests instead of 5. In other words, are applicants allowed to change mind after they submit common app?
By that point you would know if youâd gotten in right? You could always ask them then, although I doubt they would hold you to that plan or revoke admission because youâve changed plans. Doesnât sound like the question is asking for a binding commitment.
