Printing services website - custom wedding invitations

Looking for a website that will allow custom wedding invitations to be printed and envelopes addressed. We’d create the color graphics (I have decent Photoshop skills) for the various invitation, info card, RSVP and they do the printing. But I want nice quality stuff! Ideas?

I’ve heard good things about Minted, Vistaprint, and WeddingPaperDivas. Good luck! I wish I was artistic enough to design our own invitations.

I don’t know how much customization is available or whether they will print from your design, but my S and DIL used Minted for their invitations and were very satisfied with the product and the service. I know they worked with a designer to customize their choice somewhat, and they received prompt service when there was a snafu with the envelopes – they received printed envelopes from someone else’s guest list. The proper replacements were received no more than 24 hours later. It’s worth a call.

Darn it! I love Vistaprint (and their prices) but they don’t appear to have a “Recipient Addressing” option which FDIL wants. The other two have the addressing, but I don’t think I can upload my design.

You can also do custom invites through Shutterfly…but I don’t know about the addressing.

We did custom letter-press printing done by a local printer. You can check with your local printers first and then call the online ones. Or you can print them yourself.

I don’t have any recommendations for vendors. My only advice (as someone who worked in publishinng for 25 years) is to make sure that you have a graphic designer do the customization. You may think you can do it yourself, but without experience you are taking a chance.

Yea, I think I’m a decent amateur but D always insists on viewing and improving my materials before I make them available to the public. Her skills (like most graphic artists) leave mine in the dust. A graphic artist definitely puts a professional touch on materials.

Yes, I have a good friend & co-worker who is a pro and will check over for me. Also, I’ll send a few test runs over to the neighborhood Costco. I’ve done many poster prints that were printed & sold as fundraisers (photo collages of sports teams). Hopefully I’ll be ok. Truthfully, it’s SO much cheaper this way I could print mine 2-3 time and still be way under the vendors offered on TheKnot.com.
