My son was accepted to four UC’s as a freshman, but opted to take a substantial merit scholarship OOS instead. He has second-guessed his decision ever since, and has applied to transfer for Fall '09 as a junior. Would the system still have access to his two-year-old application, and is that factored in to transfer decisions? I noticed on the admissions web site at UCD that students who were eligible for admission after high school have less stringent standards for admission (2.0 GPA vs. 2.4). He has done fine academically (3.6) but is miserable in AZ.</p>
