Priority Student Apps?

So I received a couple of mail from college that sent me from my own state. They say like: Apps. fee waiver, no essay and admission decision in less then a month. It is also called select nominee app.

I wonder do many other got these mails? Also I think it beat Early Action being that you don't have to wait as long and you're already considered first ahead of time. Thoughts?

I get like 10 e-mails a day about this.

I thought they had almost as much credence as the National Society for High School Scholars.

I’ve gotten a ton of those from in-state schools. It’s really tempting because you don’t have to write an essay, no recommendations, and you get a decision faster…but these are schools I don’t even want to go to.

I say if you like the school and there’s a chance (doesnt matter how small it is) tht you’d want to go there, fill out the app. If you don’t even care about the school, embrace the warm fuzzy feeling of being a “select nominee” or (what I was called) “student of excellence”.

Lol Only one school I got it from I want to go to (last resort though), but that’s it. Tbh, Other colleges fought harder and grabbed my consideration over this popular school that made me a “select nominee” lmao. Beat writing an essay though.

I’ve received plenty of them. Some from in-state schools that keep bugging me (E-mails with the topic of “we haven’t seen your application, we’re waiting for it.” lol, they don’t understand that I’m not staying in state)

I got an “Academic Achievement Application,” from St John’s and since it was an easy application and in a decent location, I just filled it out and sent it in.

Lol @ Rachel. To be honest, I don’t think it that big a deal until a popular college does it. Ball state is pretty much up and coming but they don’t have the program that I want, regardless last resort if I get accepted.
