I have room to apply to one more college, and I am really looking to go to school in a city setting. What are some options that match my stats and I would actually be able to get into? I know all about places like Vandy and Columbia but I don’t think places with such a harsh profile will be attainable for someone with my stats. Thank you all in advance!
What are you’re stats?
Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), Saint Joseph’s University (Philly), Drexel (kinda Philly)
Loyola of Chicago as an academic safety.
I have no idea what your stats are, but University of San Francisco and Emerson College (Boston) are private urban schools that admit around 50% of their applicants.
Many of the Jesuit colleges are urban. Take a look here and see what matches your academics, geographic preferences etc. For full disclosure my S went to Fordham and loved it. http://www.ajcunet.edu/institutions/
Not knowing your stats, some other ideas offhand are Tulane, Drexel, BU, Northeastern, USC, Emory, GW, Gtown, American. There are many posts on CC on this topic so do a search.
cGPA: 3.5

I have a good amount of extracurriculars as well:
2015-2016 Sports Editor of school newspaper

2016-2017 Leader of school’s student section, nicknamed the “Maroon Platoon”, work with AD and various others to ensure fun for all students at sporting events

Student Coach of Co-Ed Varsity Bocce team in 2014-2015, 2015-2016, & 2016-2017
-Just a little side note to clarify what exactly the co-ed bocce team is. It is a varsity level team comprised of general education students and special needs students in hopes to create a sense of accomplishment for students who couldn’t participate in regular varsity sports, as well as creating unity and friendship between the students. For the three years I was a student coach, I ran the practices, created lineups, coached during games, etc. as well as stayed after school with my players and cultivated a welcoming environment for anyone who wanted to join.
Along with those in school extracurriculars I have over 400 hours of documented student-service-learning hours, and countless more undocumented throughout various organizations and community service projects, including a mission trip to Alaska to help the homeless and clean the environment.

Also take a look at Case Western in Cleveland.
@Fishnlines29 either one really. I would like a school that isn’t just a commuter school however, where I would be able to make friends in dorms and all that good stuff!
If you have any interest in the pacific northwest, look into Seattle University.
Take a look at Santa Clara University- very close to San Jose and to San Francisco.
Union.
La Salle. I’m a freshman, & we’re quite similar to St. Joe’s. We often give better merit, though!
Calling Union College an urban setting might be a bit of a stretch. Quite small city and not a very robust or exciting place.
Marquette.
Union College is a wonderful college, but the setting is more urban decay than urban-hip.
Re #16, I’ve heard similar comments with respect to Trinity/Hartford and Holy Cross/Worcester (post #8). Nonetheless, both Trinity and Union are set within their states’ capital districts, and State Street in Albany offers nice appeal for a college student.
