Oakwood I believe is the smallest of those 3 at an average class size of around 75. Campbell Hall is somewhere around 120 I believe and I am not fully sure about Viewpoint. I believe all are still smaller than Pasadena Poly.

Los Angeles is lucky to have excellent private schools as well as magnets such as NoHo High which are some of the best in the nation.

It might be good to hear some admissions statistics from each of these schools. I can only provide those statistics from the Class of 2005 at Oakwood. If anyone wants to hear them, either post here or Private Message me.

jersey it’s definitley Lawrenceville (i’m a townie, not an attendee), lol, princeton day, peddie, and prolly soem of the other princeton schools (hun, stuart)

Two public schools with national standing are in the Wash DC area. They are Thomas Jefferson School of Science and Technology (VA) and Montgomery Blair Magnet School (MD).

viewpoint is like right next to my school, i swam there for swim team and it’s very tiny. i’m sure it’s smaller than my school with a sr class of 124

my school is the best! haha it’s called louisville and no it’s not in kentucky and i know nobody has ever heard of it, but it’s pretty competitive i think and we got so many awesome acceptances this year in our class of 124 girls, yay for pimping my own school.

but as for me, the other best schools that come to mind are philips exeter, philips andover, harvard-westlake. my school is in the same athletic league as harvard-westlake and it’s a nice school, since i’ve been there for sports. and i would expect that a school that costs as much as college would be stellar (harvard westlake: “Tuition for the 2004-2005 school year is $21,400 and the new student fee is $1,500. Other expenses include books, transportation, meals, and class activities. Most parents budget an additional $2,000”). i know schools like exeter cost more, but geez that’s a lot of money.

another good high school is loyola high school in los angeles (all-boys), and a pretty high school (i’m not sure if it’s stellar as far as acceptances go) is marymount high school (all-girls) near ucla

for public schools in la county, north hollywood highly gifted magnet is a good school as well.
