<p>Why is it that Dartmouth only accepts about 30% private school kids. That is such a low number incomparision with many other universities...??</p>
<p>Because the overwhelming majority of students who apply to college are from Public schools so they try to keep the same ratio for college. There are also considerable more students who apply RD vs Ed which is the same reason why their ED admission rates hover around 35%</p>
<p>i remember hearing somewhere that of all the secondary schools, private schools are 10%</p>
