Which private universities have you guys received substantial merit aid from? If so comment your stats and which school.
Unless the school guarantees merit aid, the answers you receive really aren’t going to help you.
Why don’t you give us your stats and ask for suggestions of private schools where merit aid I’d possible (I don’t know any with guaranteed merit aid).
OR tell us what schools you are interested in and your stats…and folks can give you an opinion.

Are you a Florida resident? Bright futures will be your best bet financially…for the FL schools.
You also have the stats to get guaranteed merit aid at Alabama.
Vandy, Duke, Pepperdine and Wake will have competitive merit aid, not guaranteed.
Are you looking to expand your list? Really…the amount of merit aid you receive isn’t as important as being able to afford the net costs…
So…how much can your family pay annually for you to attend college?
You’d get nearly free tuition at Bama.
You’d get BF at Florida publics, correct?
Dont’ expect any merit/aid from GT or UGA.
Unless your SAT increases to near perfect, it’s not likely you’d get any merit from Vandy, Duke, Wake. Run the Net Price Calculator on those schools’ websites and show the results to your parents. Are they fine with the costs??
How much will your parents pay per year?
Pepperdine may give you aid, but why are you considering that school?
What is your major and career goal?
