Pro and Con Analysis

Hello All,

I am a sophomore in high school and I am trying to see if I am losing too much with my decisions. Over my freshman and sophomore years, I did not choose to take AP courses (Biology, Human Geography, and World History). Next year as a junior, I will not be taking AP U.S. History as well as taking 2 off-blocks which means I will only take 6/8 available courses. However 4/6 courses will be AP with one honors robotics course and 1 regular (U.S. History). I have a STEM oriented schedule and am not interested in history courses. I will end up with 5 years of Math, including AP AB, AP BC, and AP Statistics as well as AP Physics 1 & C (Just the math and science courses). I will have around 10 AP courses with many honors courses on my transcript by the end of senior year. Also, by taking 2 “off-blocks” junior year, I feel I will have more time for internships, research, and my EC’s. Although SAT/ACT scores and a difficult course load are the most important factors, am I making the wrong choice by skipping the seemingly unnecessary AP courses?
Thanks in advance!
