probability sat question

ok so slot machine has three screens. there are 7 images and each image has an equal chance of landing on each of the screen. you win a prize if 1st & 2nd screen land on the same image and 3rd screen lands on a candle(1 of the 7 images), calculate the probability of winning the prize? i did 1/7 * 1/7 * 1/7 it would be 1/343 but in the book it says answer is 1/49 and it doesnt show an explanation this was in kaplan purple book of sat tests

For the first panel, it can be ANY Panel because it just has to match the middle slot, and the middle slot hasn’t been selected yet. So it can be 7/7 options.

The middle panel just has to match the first. Since there are 7 possible images for the first panel, the chance of it matching is 1/7.

The last panel just has to be a candle, which has a 1 in 7 chance of occurring.

Thus, (7/7) * (1/7) * (1/7) = 1/49
