my school doesn’t over AP’s until senior year… and from what iv been reading those are important. am I screwed?

No. They’ll look at you in regard to what options were available for you to pursue, so I wouldn’t worry about it at all too much. Remember, they generally get plenty of apps from each school that they’re able to familiarize themselves with what marks a “quality” candidate from each one that will add to the UF landscape. Provided you’ve taken the most rigorous course load available, you should be fine.

If you go to a public school, they can’t bar you from taking any classes…

at my school they do. they don’t offer AP’s until 12th grade it says in the course selection handbook and you also can’t take every honor class till sophomore year

If the school publicizes that policy, then UF will be aware of it.

@Zapadniy, schools can do whatsoever they like in regards to the course selection pool. Many courses, due to class size limits have been cut or culled to prevent exceeding the amendment…

Hate schools that do this. Talk to your counselor if enrollment is possible, otherwise sign up for FLVS and your counselor should be able to approve that.
