Problems with adding an OPEN class? Anyone can help?

<p>Hi everyone, I am new to IUB and I am having some problems adding some of the classes.</p>

<p>I am trying to enroll a Math-M 118 class and it states that there are currently 10 spaces available shown in the system (with 3 waitlisted). The status says it is “open” and after selecting “select class” & “enroll now”, the status changed to “close”. </p>

<p>Is this a common problem with the adding system? Or I will have to wait a few more days in order to add the class. (I did tried to add the same class a few days ago and it was totally full, it seems like the system administrator has increased the class size by 10, but I am still unable to add it).</p>

<p>Did you check to see if adding M118 brings you over your max number of credits?</p>

<p>The seats might be reserved. I know for honors classes they sometimes reserves seats and then don’t let you add that open class without permission first. I have never heard about doing it for a regular class, but I guess it could happen as well.</p>

<p>It could be reserved for international students since they don’t register for classes until their orientation (I think) which is this week.</p>

<p>It seems to me that if there are 3 waitlisted, then the 10 available are reserved for another block of students who have not yet registered. You could go on the waitlist and see what happens.</p>
