Problems with financial aid!

You’ll explain your supporters and relatives that the acceptances indicate you have good odds next year when you apply to universities that cover financial need for internationals.

This student needs to stop wasting time and money applying to US schools. S/he does not have the stats to get into a school that meets need for int’ls.

He needs to explain to his supporters that unless they can come up with the $200k+ to send him, he can’t go to a US Univ for undergrad. Now, if he does very well as an undergrad in Peru, maybe he’ll get into a funded PhD program in the US later on.

There’s no shame in simply saying that very few US universities provide a lot of aid to int’ls. It’s just a fact. Once you have your likely rejections from Princeton and Yale, you simply tell them that those were the schools that provide aid…and the others don’t. Period. End of story.
