We’re talking of a country where near 20% kids don’t make it through 6th grade, and 25% who do are held up at least once. Persevering through high school, learning English, figuring out the test and the logistics to take that is a feat on its own in Peru. Scoring 1100 may not be high enough for Yale, but it’s super high for Peru.
