Problems with scheduling an accepted student visit

<p>Is anyone who recently got accepted (I got accepted yesterday) into Penn State University Park having problems scheduling an accepted student visit? Anytime I try to, whether its for a general session or an open house, the site says, “This is a restricted event. You do not meet the criteria to attend this event.”</p>

<p>It may be that the system needs some time to recognize your change in status to an accepted student, which I doubt. Or it could be that you need to be accepted and going, ie you’ve submitted the non-refundable deposit in order to attend an accepted student visit.</p>

<p>Try contacting the college you’ve been admitted to separately, on the EMS site there was a form for people that want to visit the college and I filled that out, idk if other colleges have the same thing. Still waiting on a response. You could also try separately contacting the people at shields.</p>

<p>I’m able to register for a regional reception for accepted students. Weird.</p>

You don’t have to accept your offer of admission to schedule an accepted student visit.</p>

<p>I am having the same issue and am unsure why, did you call admission to look into it?</p>

<p>I was able to register Monday, 3 days after my acceptance. I guess it just takes a while for the system to completely update your status.</p>
