Product Design Major

Hi, I want to major in product design and i am considering Academy of Art, Arizona state and Art Center. Can you guys give me some opinion? I really don’t know where to go. I like the artistic part of the ID more than the functional part. Also, is it worth to go to a private school and to spend twice as much money on the same degree that i could also get from a state university?

I know that ID major requires a strong 3D visualization? Does it mean that i have to have a natural talent in order to do ID or can I acquire it through practice?

with a little research- you should be able to answer your own questions.

Thanks. seems like ASU has a good ID program, but a student doesn’t really get accepted untill the 2 year. SO I don’t know what happen to those who don’t get accpeted?

Lots and lots and lots of info under 'arts majors"

Most art schools start with a foundation year which covers the basics of color, form, design in both 2D & 3D. It gives you a chance to see where your interests are and what materials turn you on.
Getting into a good art school is another story though. A good public program with a great reputation can be harder to get into than a good private school.
