It’s gonna be a panel interview, so 10-12 people interviewing me at once. I’m having trouble coming up with questions to ask them at the end, creating my pitch and thinking of how I will contribute to the chapter.
Any tips? I suck really badly at interviews, and often find myself rambling/fidgeting. My answers aren’t concise and usually go into too unnecessary detail.
Questions:
Do they bring in alumni to talk about careers?
Is all the networking with local companies or does the fraternity attempt to foster relationships with nationally known companies?
What kinds of community service activities are available?
You could talk about your specific interests related to business activities, such as:
Does this frat have any involvement with local youth to try to get them engaged with college and business careers?
Would frat members be interested in learning how businesses can contribute to environmental sustainability goals?
Or other questions related to your own interests where you could show that your own ideas and knowledge could be of use to the organization.
I was an officer in a business fraternity many years ago. Questions above are big but I’ll tell you what I was looking for. I wanted students who were looking to be involved in the organization, not just looking for a line on a resume or even an opportunity to network, although we did provide that.
