Has anyone taken a class with Professor DeVries, a noted history/economics professor? How is he as a teacher? Is it difficult to get an A in his class – I really want to take European Economic History, but don’t like the 7% A’s courserank shows…

I was in that class the first couple of weeks this semester. I dropped it because the lectures were incredibly boring, and the amount of reading assigned each week was incredible (and I got stuck with a $70 20-lb reader =() . The material didn’t interest me that much so that’s just how I received the class. If you are interest in the material you might have a better experience. The professor was pretty good though. He seemed very wise.

Did he also come up with the university?

^^Yes, he also happened to be one of the co-founders of the University of Phoenix. Very successful. That was a great guess.
