Professor Recommendation Letters ?'s

<p>Do the professors that I ask for letters of rec have to be teaching what I’m majoring in? I know my geology professor would write me an excellent rec letter, but I’m not majoring in anything science related.</p>

<p>Also, how many is most common? Some people have told me two would be fine, most of the colleges only ask for one.</p>

<p>Nope, the professors can be teaching any subject as long as it is an academic one. I would have sent in the number of recs the school asks for.</p>
