Professor used annoying grading scheme don't know how to handle it

Hello,

my gpa in hs was a 2.9 so in my attempt to transfer I’ve been working very hard to get all A’s. As a sophmore transfer I only have my 1st semester and midterm grades. I got all A’s in my midterms but one professor made my grade a S for satisfactory. I have an A in the class so this is annoying. I emailed her asking to change it to my letter grade and she said she can’t change the input once provided but i can provide her contact information. I’ve been a awful student in her class other coming late and missing homeworks so I’d rather they don’t contact her. I’ve had other professors change midterm grades so I know she can. What do you guys think I should do

  1. Let it be the school’s aren’t dumb and know what a S means
2)Keep it in the school system as a S but try to make her sign off that I have an A in the class
  2. Email her letting her know it is possible to change it and others have
  3. Something else

Any input would be appreciated

I’m confused. Why would you expect and A if you don’t show up to class and don’t hand in homework?

It’s not I expected an A I have an A. According to blackboard my average is a 95%

She graded everyone as either a S or Us which is 70 >- or <70

Personally, I would do absolutely nothing about it. This is a mid-term grade report. It’s not the lynchpin of your applications. It’s just to say “hey, I’m not failing my classes!” This fact is clearly demonstrated by a “satisfactory” grade.

In the additional information section, explain the policy, state your average, and provide the teacher’s contact info (since she offered to have it be known) with the statement, “My teacher agreed to be contacted if needed to verify this information if necessary and can reached at…”

Problem solved.

I suppose I could do that I would really prefer they didn’t ask her questions about me though beyond my grade. I guess I could write it in the comments section and hopefully she’ll just sign the sheet
