How are the professors on average at Michigan in LSA? I am a prospective pre-med student.
@tbhbulls Great on average. For pre-med classes, in my personal opinion chemistry has the best professors, and physics has the worst (for the pre med physics classes). In general though, a lot of them have very prestigious backgrounds.
Are the physics professors really bad or just worse in comparison?
@tbhbulls I mean this is all in my own subjective opinion lol. Take it with a grain of salt. But PRE-MED physics (stressing this since the calc based physics is taught by different people) is taught poorly in my opinion. The classes themselves are rather easy but the way they are taught is poor.
With that being said, chemistry is straight amazing. Loved and learned a lot from my orgo, physical chem professors.
How about biology?
@tbhbulls Can’t really comment on bio… Only lecture based class I’ve taken through their department is biochem, and that was taught really well (loved the class).
