Proffessional Help Ethical?

I recently talked to my friend who has been relatively stress-free about how her family is paying for professional help in the college admission process. My friend said that “all she has to do is the essays” and her family is paying about $2000. I think its ridiculous. Her chances of admission to colleges are obviously higher, since the professional knows how it should be done. She’s dumb as a rock and if she ends up going somewhere better than me I will be pretty ****ed.

How is this not frowned upon?

It’a pretty common in expensive private schools. My cousin goes to a boarding school in Pennsylvania and they actually teach SAT classes at their school. His parents paid a company to help him with his essays and apps. I think they paid $15,000 or something like that. They’re loaded so they don’t care.

My uncle and aunt went to Stanford so my cousin is a legacy. He’s going to some upscale high school, so ever though he’s an ***hole and not bright but you know he’s getting in. That’s just how it is. Al Gore’s son goes to Harvard when he’s not in jail and his SAT was pathetic.

Nice way to describe friend…

but anyway, a professional isn’t going to help that much, unless she has been with her since freshman year. Sure she could try to make her look better, but academics come first and a professional counselor hired during your senior year won’t be able to change anything.
