<p>I’m in CAS and have finally been assigned a program advisor. Should I wait to hear from him, or do I need to be the first one to send an e-mail? I don’t mind either way, but I would like to be in contact with him before I arrive on campus.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’d say go ahead and contact him/her and introduce yourself at least. I never really did that with mine and I kind of regretted it.</p>
<p>I did send him an email, but I haven’t gotten a reply back yet…</p>
<p>Most faculty members are rather busy, even over the summer (they have lives outside off school, believe it out not). I’d give him about a week and then maybe e-mail him again.</p>
