I am interested in a graduate program at a university in another state. I emailed the contact listed on the program’s website who I believe is the graduate adviser for the program. It’s been two days since I sent the email and still have not received a response. I tried to call yesterday afternoon, but received a voice mail message. I left my name and number and have not received a call back. I might be overreacting a bit, but most other schools I have contacted have sent me a reply within 24 hours. At one school, I contacted the wrong person, but was informed that my email was forwarded to the correct individual.

It almost makes me not want to apply to the school. If they can’t even take the time to answer a simple email from a prospective student, one could only assume that the program may not be managed well. This school is not one of my top choices anyways. Has anyone else experienced this?

btw, I asked simple questions… How many students are in the program; are TA/GAs offered?
