Programming Experience? (PLDs)

Hello, I am an EE major that is thinking about taking a course on logic design next semester.

So, the prerequisite is either a course in Java or C programming, but I realized I can get in without taking either of those.

I barely have any programming experience (okay let’s say I don’t have any at all), and I am wondering if I am ready to take this course next semester. --I emailed the professor and he asked me if I had an programming experience because I will be programming “programmable logic devices.”

So basically will I need to know an actual language to be able to do this? Or is it all learned in the logic design sense or so…

(Look up “CSUS EEE 64” for a course description)
