Programs

what program is dartmouth most famous for?

The DOC? The Center for Jewish Life? F**k if I know.

If by programs, you’re referring to academics:

Language learning (Russian, German, Spanish, French, etc.)
Study abroad through most disciplines
Chemistry and Biology (While not as highly ranked for graduate programs, I can list off numerous Dartmouth grads published as undergrads and now in top grad programs)
Senior Fellowships (Take your senior year and complete a major, usually interdisciplinary project of your own design)
International Relations/Government (named a top 10 teaching program this year, the only one in the top 10 without graduate students)

And the list goes on…

Who named Dartmouth at a top 10 teaching program for international relations? Can you post the link?

Here is the report from what appears to be the underlying study for the article, Midwest Dad - probably people can find all sorts of ways to criticize the methodology, but for whatever value, its an interesting report.

Chemistry??? I have read on their viewbook they don’t even have a chemistry major. They have biophysical chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology but no chemistry. Is it true? or did you mean the biochemistry program?

they have a chemistry department and there is indeed a chemistry major
