Sorry this is cross-posted in financial aid but realize it probably belongs here

So I haven’t posted in a while but I have a question. I am a year ahead of schedule in my major (neuroscience) and next fall I will have one ‘required for major’ course left to take (and 3 free electives). My counselor suggested that I look into a Master’s Program to fill the 3 electives and the following spring semester and I have found that I can get my MPH (Masters of Public Health) by next May which is my planned graduation date.

My problem is that I rely heavily on financial aid to attend the school I am at (which COA is close to 50,000 and will probably exceed that next year). I understand that once your UG degree is finished Graduate degrees hardly get any financial aid outside of loans because the Pell and other federal grants go away. Since I would be doing a Progressive Degree (doing this MPH while finishing my BA) would I still be entitled to the same undergrad financial aid package?

My counselor and I have worked my schedule out so I could delay taking that 1 specific required class for my major until next spring, therefore strategically delaying my graduation so I can get the MPH and UG degree awarded at the same time. Will this keep me as an undergrad for financial aid?

Thanks Guys!
