<p>At my old school district, the police were on hand to arrest them for intox by a minor. It truly was a deterrent, though it also meant that a lot of kids just didn’t go to prom. In my current school district, the kids are not tested, but most of the drinking occurs after the prom in hotels and after parties.</p>
