Looking for advice on where a group of 20 kids should go for prom pics on a Friday evening in the DC area? Prom is in Maryland.
Any experience with good locations, timing, etc would be appreciated!

McCrillis Garden
We live in NoVA and D and her friends rented a party bus for prom which took them downtown to the mall whare they took photos.
We were by the US Capitol as the sun was going down last night, and it was very beautiful. You could see from there across the mall to the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. There are very nice places in Maryland too.
Where did the seniors take their pictures last year?
The only group i know of went to Kennedy Center.
Has anyone gone to the cathedral or Dumbarton oaks?
Oh my goodness, y’all don’t just take the photos in someone’s backyard or garden?
What did you end up deciding?
@MrsRadish The Jefferson memorial. You can get both the Jefferson and the tidal basin/ Washington monument in shots and it’s gorgeous. It’s pretty easy to park by the swan boats for parents or walk to. The kids were so happy and beautiful.
And as for @surfcity , DC is our backyard and part of our lives so who wouldn’t want to take advantage of the beautiful setting.
