<p>Throughout my academic career Ive had some problems and issues that may of hindered my education. My attendance for one has several sick days throughout a school year due to the seasonal flu and stomach complications. A special case was roughly a year or two before where I had to take a few days off to pay respect at my grandfathers funeral in China. On the subject of my curriculum, I wasnt informed of advanced courses in my early high school years, only having what was given to me. However my senior year I have attempted to take all the advanced placement courses available, being recommended by previous teachers to both AP Calculus and AP Biology. I was ineligible to take AP U.S History in my school due to having taken the U.S History regents and U.S History class already in freshmen year. My social studies teacher told me that I had to take Global History and Government instead. My school has limited activities and rigorous courses available. My lacks of activities are due to the limited clubs and choices available at my school and my disinterest in the schools student government system and honor society. Also residing in a secluded neighborhood gave me little opportunities for community engagement. </p>
