<p>I am applying to some top universities as an international transfer from Canada, and I am wondering who I should get to proofread my application essays. I don’t have English this semester, so I was wondering if I should send a random English professor an email asking her to proofread my essays. Even worse, the first term is almost over and I plan to do the essays over winter break, when the professors aren’t teaching. </p>
<p>Would it be rude to send a random English professor an email over her Christmas break? If it is, I’m not sure what else to do because the next term doesn’t start until January 5th, and that’s too close to when some of my applications are due.</p>
